Customers, contacts, notes, and account activity

Try:

01 Create New Customer/Contact

Go to Customers → Add Customer.

  • Create an individual with one primary contact, or a company with multiple contacts.
  • The primary contact receives emails and portal notifications.
  • Set contact type (Customer, Past-Customer, Non-Customer) and prospect status.
  • Portal login uses a unique username and password for the primary contact.

02 Customer Update

The customer list shows all accounts; open any row to manage the full relationship.

  • Edit company details, addresses, phones, and emails.
  • Add notes, proposals, estimates, invoices, tasks, media, and reminders.
  • Switch primary contact when account ownership changes (portal username stays unless you change it).
  • Export the list via DataTables for reporting.

03 Customer Notes & Contacts

Use the customer sidebar to manage sub-records without leaving the account.

  • Notes — internal comments visible to staff with contact access.
  • Contacts — additional people at the company; one remains primary.
  • Addresses — billing/shipping locations linked to the customer.
